42 Silicon Valley Partners with Google Qwiklabs

42 Silicon Valley & Google Qwiklabs

We’re excited to announce that 42 Silicon Valley has partnered with Google Qwiklabs to provide our students access to unique learning tools that will help them better understand topics like machine learning, security, infrastructure, app dev, and more. Gaetan Juvin, Chief Academic Officer at 42, shared, “Qwiklabs is something that fits very well inside our pedagogy because it is active. You participate, it is not just a video that you look at.” Since passive learning isn’t something we embrace at 42, we look forward to more of our students utilizing Google Qwiklabs to help reach their major learning milestones.

How Google Qwiklabs Benefits Students @ 42

Every student at 42 Silicon Valley has access to Google Qwiklabs and just has to sign up with their 42 email address.  42 student Taylor Yang shared how he has already benefited from the learning suite, “Google Qwiklabs taught me many of GCP’s features, and by using it I was able to quickly set up my environment for the project I was working on (Cerebro Voice), rather than spending time and credits on the cloud just to learn how it works.” At 42, we are always looking for tools that will allow students to learn in the most comprehensive and fun ways. It’s important for students to have access to learning tools that are engaging and help them retain information. Google Qwiklabs is a valuable tool to help our students get the most out of their learning experience. We cannot wait to see the positive impact that Google Qwiklabs will have on our student projects.

More about Google Qwiklabs

Google Qwiklabs is the best way to get hands-on experience with a cloud environment. The suite of tools doesn’t involve simulations, it uses the real thing. This aligns with 42’s project-based, hands-on learning educational model where we learn by doing. Some of the learning tools that Google Qwiklabs provides includes 30-minute labs and multi-day courses. You can also choose from different levels and ways of learning, such as introductory to expert levels, instructor-led or self-paced. At 42, our students benefit the most from hands-on practice. Students learn at their own pace and control what they learn and how they learn it, branching out into topics that will help them reach their academic and professional goals. We believe that Google Qwiklabs compliments 42’s approach to learning and is a great fit for our student community.
