Everything you Need to Succeed Academically

With more than 200,000 square ft, our campus allows students to progress together in a professional work environment with the resources they need to succeed at the 42 program.

The “Soul of Code” building is comprised of 4 computer clusters and phenomenal shared spaces. The building is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year: students manage their time, work when they want, and aren’t required to buy any textbooks or additional items in order to participate in the 42 program.

Computer Resources for Every Student

Because learning computer programming must be done in front of a computer screen, computer rooms are the most important part of the facility. There are no classrooms nor lecture halls. Since everything was designed around the idea of having many people in close proximity to a computer, our clusters are designed to facilitate permanent exchanges of information.

No matter where the student is in a cluster or even in the building, all of the computers are a part of the network. Access to the resources are the same for every student. Each cluster houses around 300 computers. So that ideas can be continually exchanged at the facility, there are a few modifiable spaces available that can be adapted to the students’ needs. To ensure the proper functioning of the computers, 42 staff who focus on operations, known as the “Bocal,” continuously monitor the network and are ready to intervene at any given moment, day or night.
